Job Overview for a Teaching Assistant

A Teaching Assistant at Canadian University Dubai is to support students technically to build software projects (Web apps, Mobile apps, AI-based apps). The job holder is also required to perform routine laboratory functions to support lectures and scientific experiments.

Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant

• Setting up, testing, adjusting, calibrating, and maintaining laboratory equipment.
• Enforcing strict health and safety regulations.
• Staying up to date with relevant scientific developments that can improve the efficiency of lab operations.

What You Will Do

• Maintain daily logs and equipment record books.
• Order laboratory supplies, as needed.
• Maintain equipment in proper working order and maintain a clean work area.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• 1 year Experience in the Same Role.

Knowledge & Skills

• Evidence of Building At Least 2 Medium to Large Web or Mobile Apps.
• Fluency in English Language.
• Database Administration and Development (e.g., MySQL or PostgreSQL).
• Full Stack Development Using Contemporary Frameworks ( Next.js).
