Job Description

The Bachelor of Nursing (BN) program is well established and is now experiencing an exciting period of growth and advancing plans to progress offerings at Masters Levels in nursing and a range of nursing specialities. Currently, IAT is seeking to appoint anĀ Assistant Professor Nursing (or other ranks subject to experience & publications) to teach the Bachelor of Nursing program. Subit your application now.

Responsibilities of Assistant Professor Nursing

  • Delivering lectures,Ā conducting tutorials,Ā and leading practical sessions in various nursing subjects.
  • Developing and maintaining course materials like lesson plans, assignments, and clinical simulations, aligned with the curriculum and UAE licensing requirements.
  • Assessing student progress through tests,Ā quizzes,Ā clinical evaluations,Ā and other assessment methods.
  • Providing individual and group feedback to help students improve their knowledge and skills.
  • Staying up to date with the latest advancements in nursing practice and incorporating them into the curriculum.
  • Promoting critical thinking,Ā scientific reasoning,Ā and ethical values in nursing education.
  • Supervising students during clinical placements in hospitals or healthcare facilities.
  • Providing guidance and feedback to students during clinical practice.
  • Ensuring students adhere to clinical safety protocols and ethical guidelines.
  • Evaluating student clinical performance and documenting progress.
  • Contributing to the development and ongoing improvement of clinical simulation programs.

Job Requirements

The requirements for the job role of Assistant Professor Nursing are as under:

  • Applicant must have a PHD in Nursing.
  • At least 3 years teaching midwifery in an academic and/or clinical setting.
  • At least 3 years practicing as a midwife.
