Responsibilities of Assistant Professor Nursing

• Delivering lectures, conducting tutorials, and leading practical sessions in various nursing subjects.
• Developing and maintaining course materials like lesson plans, assignments, and clinical simulations, aligned with the curriculum and UAE licensing requirements.
• Assessing student progress through tests, quizzes, clinical evaluations, and other assessment methods.
• Providing individual and group feedback to help students improve their knowledge and skills.
• Staying up to date with the latest advancements in nursing practice and incorporating them into the curriculum.
• Promoting critical thinking, scientific reasoning, and ethical values in nursing education.
• Supervising students during clinical placements in hospitals or healthcare facilities.
• Providing guidance and feedback to students during clinical practice.
• Ensuring students adhere to clinical safety protocols and ethical guidelines.
• Evaluating student clinical performance and documenting progress.
• Contributing to the development and ongoing improvement of clinical simulation programs.

Job Requirements

The requirements for the job role of Assistant Professor Nursing are as under:

• Applicant must have a PHD in Nursing.
• At least 3 years teaching midwifery in an academic and/or clinical setting.
• At least 3 years practicing as a midwife.
