About the Role

The Assistant Professor in Clinical Pharmacy at Al Ain University will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Clinical Pharmacy and related disciplines at the Abu Dhabi campus. The role reports to the College of Pharmacy Dean and encompasses teaching, research, and service responsibilities. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be expected to publish in reputable Scopus-indexed journals and contribute to curriculum development and accreditation efforts. Moreover, this position plays a key role in preparing future pharmacists to excel in local, regional, and international healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver courses to students in Clinical Pharmacy and other related specialization areas.
• Evaluate and monitor individual student progress and provide constructive feedback to sustain academic success.
• Teach a variety of specialized courses relevant to the Clinical Pharmacy program.
• Engage in quality research and publish findings in high-repute, peer-reviewed journals.
• Support and engage in curriculum development and course management aligned with university and accreditation standards.
• Contribute effectively to college and university initiatives and participate in academic proposals and projects.
• Support and participate in accreditation initiatives at both local and international levels.
• Promote and guide students to envision their future careers in pharmacy practice locally, regionally, and globally.
• Maintain student relationships that are conducive to active learning and professional development.
• Initiate and participate in community engagement activities benefiting AAU and the local community.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Clinical Pharmacy from a recognized university.
• Minimum 2+ years of proven teaching excellence at the university level.
• Research published in journals indexed in the Scopus database.
• Dedication to continued professional development and curriculum renewal.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Arabic, orally and in writing.
• Advanced use of educational technology, including e-learning systems and presentations.
• Willingness to provide all necessary services to the university and college.
