Responsibilities of Assistant Professor English

• Deliver high quality teaching to the students of the DEP, including the development of teaching and learning material.
• To identify and support students who require extra assistance as required.
• Setting and marking of coursework and providing feedback. Preparation of Course reports.
• Attend and contribute to Course Boards and Assessment Boards as appropriate.
• To contribute to the administration associated with the course delivery.
• To assist with recruitment activities including attending open days, school visits and promotional events.

Job Requirements for Role of Assistant Professor English

The requirements for the job role of Assistant Professor Academic English are as under:

• Bachelors degree in English. Master degree is desired.
• Minimum 3 year experience of teaching Academic English and/or Approaches to Learning at Secondary, Foundation, or Undergraduate level.
• Teaching experience within the British Education system..
• Teaching experience within the Scottish Education system (desired).
• Experience of course/programme level management (desired).
• Experience of developing innovative learning via VLE (desired).
