Abu Dhabi University is currently inviting applications for faculty appointment in Industrial and Systems Engineering for Fall of Academic Year 2024-2025. Appointment at the level of Assistant Professor is expected based on qualifications and relevant experience. Applicants with experience in two areas or more are encouraged to apply: Ergonomics, Quality and safety Engineering, Operation Research, Facilities Planning, and Supply Chain Management.

Faculty Role

• Faculty members report to the Department Chair and Dean and participate in the growth and development of the University.
• Faculty members will engaged in teaching in the undergraduate and/or postgraduate programs, involved in research activities, and committed to university service.

Job Requirements of Assistant Professor

• An earned doctorate from an accredited institute in Industrial and Systems Engineering research from a top 200 university in QS ranking.
• Bachelor’s degree and a Ph.D. degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering.
• 2 year experience in working with people from different ethnic backgrounds.
• Successful university teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels is a plus.
• A record of outstanding achievement in research in terms of both quality and impact.

Skills & Knowledge Desired of Assistant Professor

• Excellent communication skills, a commitment to the importance of scholarship and diversity, a spirit of entrepreneurship, and an understanding of the role of the university in economic development.
• Familiarity with the new teaching media, visual communication, and the need to equip students with the varied skills. They must have to succeed in an ever changing media environment.
