Assistant Manager Sales GMG

As an Assistant Manager in Sales at GMG in GMG Building, Umm Hurair Rd, Oud Metha, Dubai, UAE, candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and nurturing relationships with key retail partners to drive revenue growth and brand presence. Candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, negotiating agreements and ensuring that the products are prominently displayed and effectively marketed within the accounts you manage. Job holder goal will be to maximize sales opportunities, foster long-term partnerships, and uphold the brand’s image and values. This is an Intermediate level full time job. And salary can range between 10000-20000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Assistant Manager

  • Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with key retail partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly and effectively
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing & product development, to ensure alignment with account strategies and objectives.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies and plans for key accounts to achieve revenue targets and market share growth.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior & competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Establish sales forecasts and monitor performance against targets, adjusting strategies as necessary to drive results.
  • Identify opportunities for product assortment expansion, new product launches & promotional initiatives within key accounts.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms & promotional agreements to maximize profitability while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts to assess performance, address challenges & explore growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with marketing teams to develop tailored marketing and promotional campaigns to drive sell-through and brand awareness.
  • Collaborate with merchandising teams to ensure optimal product placement, visibility & presentation in-store and online.
  • Provide feedback on product performance, market trends & consumer preferences to inform future product development and marketing efforts.
  • Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders to share insights, provide updates on account activities & coordinate actions to support key account objectives.
  • Records progress of enquiries and creates regular reports, including source of business trends, enquiry conversion rates, future predicted sales and other reports as directed by the sales manager.
  • Advises customers on forthcoming product developments and discusses special promotions.
  • Develops a database of qualified leads through referrals, email & networking; identifies and develop new customer accounts to increase sales.

What you will do more

  • Prepares documents related to sale and supports contracting activities like purchase agreements, contracts, etc. in coordination with the Legal department.
  • Maintains and files all related documents and ensures compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Provides customers with clarifications, answers queries, provides requested information and follows-up with customers.
  • Provides accurate and timely forecasting on a periodic basis & discusses inefficiencies related to the performance of the sales; prepares sales reports and summaries on a frequent basis.
  • Evaluates customer and is responsible for applicable background checks to ensure customer falls within the Business Unit’s guideline.
  • Self-Management: Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year.
  • Takes ownership of their own learning agenda by identifying development needs in consultation with the manager and agreeing on the individual development plan.
  • Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth.

Responsibilities of Assistant Manager

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or in a related field.
  • 2+ years experience in retail or equivalent management.
