Talabat is currently looking for Assistant Manager Logistics Operations to assist in managing the overall logistics operations in coordination with the Country Head, and to lead special projects and new initiatives within Talabat’s Logistics Operations. This role involves leading on-demand delivery operations, ensuring excellent customer experience 24/7, optimizing operations and managing multiple complex projects to drive business change. Incumbent will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance profitability, reduce costs, streamline operations, and maintain high service levels.

Responsibilities of Assistant Manager Logistics Operations

  • Uphold high standards of security procedures and compliance with environmental health and safety regulations in warehouse operations.
  • Identify areas for improvement in logistics and project management processes and practices.
  • Establish policies and tools for the safety and compliance of riders and vendors.
  • Lead multiple cross-functional projects and initiatives, focusing on strategic partnerships, system implementations, cost-saving initiatives, and operational strategy.
  • Develop project scopes, timelines, and objectives, and coordinate resources for successful execution.
  • Provide weekly updates to country management on projects & performance progress.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to minimize risks and ensure the technical feasibility of projects.

Eligibility Requirements

The eligibility requirements for the role of Assistant Manager Logistics Operations are as under:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, MBA preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience in the food/grocery tech industry, with experience in similar roles.
  • PMP Certification is an added advantage.

Skills Desired

  • Proficiency in Data Analytics and tools like Tableau, Looker, etc.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven people management skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience in dealing with cross-cultural teams.
  • Ability to analyze data, derive insights and handle ambiguity.
