Assistant Manager Last Mile Chalhoub Group Dubai

As a Last Mile Assistant Manager at Chalhoub Group in Unit GS, 075, Financial Center Rd, Downtown Dubai, Dubai, UAE, candidate will supervise the Logistics Distribution administrators, ensuring smooth and effective coordination of distribution activities within your appointed region. Responsible for the planning and routing of all vehicles and ensures that all jobs are carried out to both the Customers and Company’s standards and within a Safe Working Practice. This is an Intermediate level full time job. And salary can range between 10000-20000 AED/month.

Responsibilities

  • Supervisory: Supervise the route planning and deliveries to customers.
  • Monitor the loading of vehicles and appropriate documentation.
  • Responsible for the efficient and effective daily operation of the Fleet.
  • Evaluates, training needs for personnel.
  • Directs, assigns and monitors the work of staff.
  • Assists administrative staff in setting work schedule priorities to ensure deliveries are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Make recommendations that would improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the distribution operation.
  • Liaise with customers on the status of deliveries.
  • Organizing: Plan and route the orders for deliveries to customers, in line with customer requirements.
  • Monitor accurate documentation after delivery.
  • Monitor the Loading of vehicles to ensure effectiveness and compliance to company procedures.
  • Weekly checking of vehicles to detect faults and service requirements.
  • Keep track of vehicle expenses and monitor the same.
  • Administrative Tasks and Reporting.
  • Update, analyze and maintain distribution expenses (toll charge, petrol card, fuel charges, vehicle registration, maintenance charges etc.
  • Track and report distribution running time and delivery time.
  • Maintenance and tracking of petty cash.
  • Track and resolve any accident/ incidents.
  • To work within, promote and identify improvements in company’s Quality Management System.
  • Immediately report any breach in procedures, company policy or security to supervisor / management.

Requirements for Role of Assistant Manager

  • A Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics or industrial engineering or an equivalent principle.
  • At least 5 years experience in managing last mile delivery operations.
  • At least 1 year experience in rider onboarding.
  • At least 2 years experience in managing rider quality for a hyper local delivery model.
