Role of Assistant Healthcare

Responsible for providing assistance to healthcare professionals in caring for patients in hospitals or at home. Also provides first hand comfort, care, and safety to patients.nursing homes, or in the home of the patient.

Duties of Assistant Healthcare

• Observe, monitor and record patient’s condition by taking vitals ( pulse, temperature, respiration rate etc).
• Communicate effectively with patients, their care givers and families.
• Assist the physician / nurses in clinical duties.
• Play his role on infection control and prevention.
• Promote positive mental /physical and  nutritional health among patients.
• Check and order for supplies and equipment needed.
• Set up equipment required by doctors for diagnostic/ therapeutic procedures.
• Prepare patients for therapy.

Education & Experience.

• Diploma or higher in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• 1-2 years of experience in a caring role.

Desired Skills

• Passion to work with all people, irrespective of background.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good listening skills.
• Physically able to lift patients.
