An exciting job opportunity has arisen for eligible candidate for position of a Assistant Guest Relations Manager at Jumeirah Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring all VIP guests requirements are met/ exceeded through high level of managerial skills & proactive leadership and is responsible to follow up on glitches, investigate and offer the appropriate recovery to guest in compliance to SBU standards.
Duties of An Assistant Guest Relations Manager
- Conducts pre arrival stage for VIP1 and VIP2 by contacting guests to collect relevant information in order to best prepare arrival experience and support the GRE where needed.
- Update guest reservation with collected information and ensure allocation and preferences are met.
- Coordinate with Culinary team if required.
- Send flag VIP form to relevant departments.
- Recognizes all repeat and important guests, and builds rapport in order to develop personal guest contact, obtain preferences and proactively anticipate guest needs and requirements.
- Leads, motivates & continuously develops the subordinated team in order to maximise colleague productivity, departmental revenue, guest satisfaction & department COS scores.
- Monitor and assess the team performance through role plays and tests based on the departmental SOPs.
- Ensures that the team adhere to all hotel and company standards, Business conduct and ethics, policies and procedures including Health & Safety policies,HACCP, Butler’s grooming standards, punctuality/ attendance procedures and Quality standards.
- Inspect VIP1,VIP2 suites arrivals in order to ensure that everything is in working conditions and properly set for the guest.
- Checks TDS for VIP1,VIP2 suites in order to ensure that everything is in working conditions and properly set accordingly.
- Ensures VIP courtesy visit/call day prior to departure, offer express check out.
- Conducts VIP departure/check out in room or on the floor as per guest needs.
- Meet VIP guest upon departure to check on their stay experience.
- Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management.
What You’ll Do More?
- Monitor and control the VIP amenities and conduct the final inspections for the suites booked for the VIP guests.
- Conducts Hotel/ Suite show around when requested by the senior management.
- Coordinates and liaises with all concerned departments in order to ensure smooth operations especially for VIP arrivals/departures.
- Dealing with VIP delegations, arrange their billing and monitor their arrival and departure experience.
- Participating in departmental trainings and take part of departmental projects.
- Conduct LQA tests.
- Evaluates operations in order to identify training needs and ensure all the identified training plans are carried out.
- Set Up and participate in Guest Experiences.
Requirements for role of An Assistant Guest Relations Manager
The eligibility requirements for role of an Assistant Guest Relations Manager are as under:
- Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management.
- Minimum of 2 years previous experience as Shift Leader in Butler or Guest Services in a 5-star environment.
- Experience working in a multi cultural environment.
