Responsibilities of Assistant Concierge Manager

  • Supporting to set up the function and role during Pre-Opening phase.
  • Always have a smiling, helpful and friendly attitude towards colleagues and guests alike and provide a courteous and professional service at all times.
  • Supervise the porch and luggage services ensuring a smooth and efficient operation with no delay, loss or damage and ensuring maximum guest satisfaction and following of standards.
  • Ensure that complaints are attended to promptly and handled in a professional manner according to Jumeirah standards.
  • Ensure that every staff member receives 6 hours training per month and that Departmental Trainer kept an accurate record.
  • Ensure that accurate records are being kept for i.e. luggage storage, concierge desk etc.
  • Ensure manning and competence level of selected colleagues is sufficient for the department to meet the needs of the organization and customer.
  • Be aware of the departmental budget and control the expenses accordingly.
  • Actively participate in the development of team members ensuring IDPs and Appraisals are conducted on time and submitted accordingly.

Requirements of Assistant Concierge Manager

The requirements of Assistant Concierge Manager are as under:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management.
  • 2 years Concierge Experience in a 5 star hotel.
  • Ideally Pre Opening experience, experience on setting up any related systems or structures in the department role.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

  • Able to work with tight deadlines and under pressure due to intensive pre opening phase.
  • Part of Les Clefs d’or association.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Knowledge of front office application.
