Mashreq Bank is presently recruiting suitably qualified and skilled candidate for the role of Assistant Chief Manager Staff Office. The role of Assistant Manager/Manager, IBG Chief of Staff Office is responsible for supporting the IBG Chief of Staff Office in ensuring that the IBG business is appropriately governed, controlled and overseen by Mashreq Bank Head Office (HO). The Chief of Staff is accountable for optimizing the operating model with focus on bottom line effective management across all international branches that roll up to the IBG Group Head (GH).

Responsibilities of Assistant Chief Manager Staff Office

  • Deliver high quality analysis and presentation material to support IBG Governance Head Office forums, ensuring that all relevant matters and associated risks are clearly set out for the respective forums’ review. Liaise with stakeholders to monitor and report the status of matters raised.
  • Help to mitigate identified risks through collaboration with the constituents of the 3 lines of defense.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the IBG Governance Framework. Identify gaps, recommend improvement opportunities and drive agreed actions
  • Support IBG Chief of Staff Office management to successfully deliver on all regulatory, supervisory and internal audit inspections.
  • Deliver analysis and material related to IBG strategic objectives. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support successful execution against approved project timelines.
  • Collate stakeholder inputs and deliver analysis of business/product pipeline, funding model and portfolio returns to support the Chief of Staff Office’s assessment of IBG business performance and associated risks.
  • Collaborate with Country Heads and Marketing & Communication constituents to support establishment of the firm’s brand in presence/target overseas markets.
  • Support the successful delivery of IBG Customer Experience and Digitization initiatives including the cleansing and preparation of IBG business data, as required.
  • Prepare and deliver IBG related analysis for presentation across various Management Committees.
  • Working closely with the Head Office and Country finance teams, support IBG budgetary efforts by ensuring all relevant risk areas are appropriately identified and documents.
  • Support optimization efforts in order to improve, and bring consistency, to the overall governance and control environment in international branches, keeping pace with the growing nature of the IBG business and evolving regulatory dynamics.

Requirements of Assistant Chief Manager Staff Office

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in similar role.
