Role of Assistant Brand Manager

Monitor and analyse key brand dynamics as the source of new insights, competitive strategies and effective portfolio management.

Duties of Assistant Brand Manager

• Lead the execution of specific projects in the context of category strategy to drive sales and profit growth.
• Deliver a product development programme to generate consistent sales and profit growth
• Support the development of effective category management initiatives with local sales organization
• Lead and champion all in-store brand initiatives in the context of the agreed brand strategy
• Lead EPD, line extension and promotional pack projects to drive sales and profit growth
• Monitor and analyse brand and competitor performance to identify and outline strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats and to recommend business building/defence initiatives.
• Lead and manage existing or ongoing consumer targeting programmes e.g. sampling/leafleting initiatives
• Assist in the preparation of consumer research projects.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 1-2 years of experience in marketing.
• Have a solid background in sales or marketing, ideally gained in an FMCG setting.

Knowledge & Skills

• Have a keen commercial and financial mind.
• A creative and resilient problem-solver.
• A natural team player.
• Comfortable with data to draw conclusions and suggest new strategic approaches.
