Assistant/Associate Professor Radiology United Arab Emirates University Al Ain

The Department of Radiology, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, at the UAE University, invites applicants for a full time Assistant/Associate Professor in any subspecialties in Diagnostic Radiology. The candidate will involved in undergraduate teaching and examination of medical students. As a consultant, the candidate is expected to provide inpatient, outpatient and on call services in affiliated hospitals. Clinical and/or laboratory based research with other CMHS faculty or with clinical colleagues in the affiliated teaching hospitals is encouraged along with International research collaboration. Other expected duties include active involvement in educational activities and participation in college administrative committees.

• The successful candidate should possess proven capability and skills in developing and maintaining research projects, funded either internally or externally, within their field of experience.
• The candidate should also have a track record of publishing their research in high impact journals and actively committed to contributing to the development and growth of the United Arab Emirates University.

Job Requirements of Assistant/Associate Professor Radiology

The requirements for the job role of Assistant/Associate Professor Radiology are as under:

• Applicants must hold a valid certificate in Radiology from USA (ABR), Canada (Royal College Certification), or Europe.
• Minimum 2 year experience in similar role.
• Have completed a fellowship training at an accredited program.
• Evidence of prior scholarship including publications in internationally recognized peer reviewed journals is a key requirement for the position.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Strong clinical and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team oriented environment.
• Ability to participate in multidisciplinary teaching conferences as well as participate in educational and research activities.
• Applicants should also have a track record in teaching including designing curricula, overseeing courses and supervising student projects, etc.
• In depth understanding and expertise in radiology research, to enable the development of new knowledge and understanding within the field.
