Looking for Professor of General Business jobs in Dubai? American University in Dubai (AUD) invites qualified applicants for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor of General Business to begin teaching in Fall 2026. Additionally, this role offers a dynamic opportunity to teach and conduct research within a leading business school in the region.
About the Role
The Assistant/Associate Professor of General Business at American University in Dubai will teach undergraduate and MBA-level courses in management, strategy, and general business disciplines within the School of Business. Furthermore, the successful candidate will maintain an active research agenda and contribute to the school’s academic mission and accreditation efforts. Moreover, candidates must demonstrate the ability to teach across a broad range of business topics and collaborate with colleagues in interdisciplinary initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in general business, management, organizational behavior, and strategic management
- Develop and update course curricula and assessment materials aligned with AACSB standards
- Maintain an active research agenda and publish in high-quality peer-reviewed business journals
- Support student academic advising and mentorship at both undergraduate and MBA levels
- Participate in department meetings, committees, and academic governance activities
- Contribute to program assessment, accreditation, and continuous improvement processes
- Develop industry partnerships and experiential learning opportunities for students
- Promote innovation in teaching through case-based learning and technology-enhanced methods
- Lead or support business competitions, consulting projects, and entrepreneurship initiatives
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field from a Western accredited institution
- Demonstrated experience teaching business courses at the university level
- High-quality publications in peer-reviewed journals commensurate with rank
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills
- Industry experience is preferred and highly valued
- Ability to teach at both undergraduate and MBA levels with evidence of teaching effectiveness
