Assistant/Associate Professor High Energy Physics UoS

​The Department of Applied Physics and Astronomy is inviting applications at the Assistant/Associate Professor level in the field of High Energy Physics for the Fall term of 2024/2025. The successful candidate will be expected to excel in teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels and actively promote High Energy Physics (HEP) at the University of Sharjah (UoS) and within the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in general.

Responsibilities of Assistant/Associate Professor

• The selected candidate must initiate and lead an independent research program capable of securing external funding.
• Instructing physics courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels while also providing guidance and mentorship to the diverse undergraduate and graduate students.

Job Requirements Assistant/Associate Professor

• University of Sharjah is seeking individuals who have demonstrated originality and productivity in high quality research and have at least 2 years of experience in teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
• A Ph.D. in High Energy Physics and significant expertise in astroparticle physics, cosmology, and HEP tools are mandatory.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Applicants should be members of the Atlas collaboration and include a comprehensive list of all ATLAS projects. ATLAS projects in which they have made significant contributions.
