Responsibilities of Assistant Accountant
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers.
- Input and reconcile banking transactions.
- Prepare financial reports and statements.
- Assist in regulatory compliance reporting.
- Conduct regular bank and account reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accuracy.
- Provide assistance in month-end and year-end processes.
- Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
- Audit financial transactions and documents
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
Requirements of Assistant Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Work experience of 1 – 2 Years as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk
Skills & Knowledge Desired
- Knowledge of banking and financial regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in accounting software.
- Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software
- Ability to work under pressure.
