Duties as Assistant Accountant
- Assist senior accountant in performing office tasks such as record keeping, mail handling bank reconciliation, making phone calls, and replying to emails.
- Monitor routine communications and answer any queries.
- Ensure the Accuracy and correctness of records, payments and amounts.
- Prepare statutory accounts.
- Work with sales and purchases, spreadsheets, and journals.
- File and record cash transactions.
- Control credit and chase debt.
- Update and maintain procedural documentation.
- Maintain physical and digital financial records.
- Process and file invoices.
- Review and file payroll documents.
- Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual audits.
Education & Experience Requirement for Assistant Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting or relevant subject.
- 2-5 years of experience.
Desired Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite.
- Computer literate.
- Excellent with numbers.
- Good Analytical skills.
