Job Requirements of ASD Specialist

• Bachelors degree in Education.
• Minimum 2 year experience in similar role.
• Experience working with students with SEND.
• Experience of delivering training.
• Experience working with parents to support student welfare.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Develop and support inclusive practice.
• Support the staff in understanding the needs of the students of determination.
• Embody and role model their core values of integrity, empathy and fortitude in everything they do.
• A good honors degree.
• DfES recognized Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desired.
• ABA, CBT or other recognized behavior adaptation training.
• A postgraduate qualification in an appropriate area related to Inclusion is desired.
• Have a willingness to collaborate and share their outstanding practice.
• Have a growth mindset, whereby they are reflective and solution focused.
• Be creative and enthusiastic in their approach.
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills to work closely with colleagues, students and parents.
