Aster DM Healthcare is seeking an experienced candidate for the role of Area Manager – Operations for Aster Pharmacies Group LLC in Dubai. The Area Manager, Aster Retail will support in increasing GP & EBIDTA of all the units of the area assigned by means of increasing footfall, identifying new business opportunities, accurately forecasting requirements etc. The role also plays an important part in strategy formulation, development and expansion of the units along with overall administration.

Responsibilities of Area Manager Operations

• Review financial statements and data on a regular basis. Utilize financial data to improve profitability of the assigned units.
• Design various marketing strategies for respective local areas in consultation with ROOT to drive the customers into the assigned Aster Pharmacies.
• Identify locations to start business activities like clinics that will complement the business generation of Aster Pharmacies. Search for new business opportunities by constantly networking & studying the market. Update the management on local market conditions, competitors activities and events affecting the business & accurately forecast across all aspects of business.
• Suggest methods to improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organization’s mission–specifically. Support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning. Monitor that all agreed control procedures are followed including closely studying the monthly QC Reports.
• Oversee monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of the assigned units’ financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals, inventory, expiry & loss prevention.
• Liaison with top management and assist higher management in the development of strategic plans for operational activities. Manage cost & optimize profit and achieve Gross Profit and EBIDTA for all the assigned units.
• Handle escalations of customer complaints & ensure contact with the customer to maximize customer satisfaction leading to customer retention.
• Conduct periodic orientation and training for the retail staff. Understand & analyze the training needs of the staff & suggest methods to maintain high moral values of the retail team & enhance team spirit.
• Review regularly individual and team performance against objectives and provide feedback to higher management & HR Department.
• Monitor maintenance of discipline in all the retail units under the purview.

Education & Experience

For the role of Area Manager – Operations, you’ll need the following qualifications:

• Bachelors/Master’s in business administration, management or any relevant field.
• 5-7 years of experience in heading operations with at least 3 years of experience in retail/pharma.
• Experience with an executive program in retail management.

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of Healthcare system and environment.
• Proficient in Organizational Dynamics and Governance.
