Application Group Specialist Nestle UAE

Nestle is looking to hire a suitably qualified and experienced candidate for the position of Application Group Specialist in Dubai. Successful candidate will have a job contract of 6 to 9 months with Nestle. As a Specialist in the area of Research and Development (R&D), your primary responsibility is to oversee the development and introduction of new products and processes within the factory.  Candidates desirous for this job are encouraged to apply.

Duties of Application Group Specialist

New Product Development:

• Lead the new product development process, from creating recipes based on project briefs to formulating manufacturing conditions that meet quality, regulatory, and cost requirements.
• Develop new or alternative raw materials and specifications, conducting industrial trials at the factory or co-manufacturer.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define release norms for finished products.
• Provide support for shelf life, HACCP, and product specification validation.
• Create material codes and Bill of Materials (BOMs) in SAP.
• Support Strategic business unit and local management in technical acceptance and release following relevant guidelines and standards.

Product and Process Mastery

• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to assess and optimize processes and line performance.
• Effectively handle the change process when modifying process control parameters.
• Contribute to cost improvement initiatives related to both processes and raw materials.

Recipe Management

• Ensure the recipes database is regularly updated and distributed according to guidelines.
• Maintain compliance with national and international audits for recipe and Bill of Material (BOM) maintenance.
• Conduct process audits to ensure compliance with issued recipes.

People Development

• Facilitate the development of competencies among operators and disseminate process best practices and knowledge on the shop floor.
• Source and utilize training materials available within the Group or develop training materials as needed.

Job Requirements For Application Group Specialist

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in food engineering, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or Biochemistry.
• Preferably have experience in food manufacturing in Application Group, Manufacturing, or Quality within the same product category.
• Possess experience in project management and a strong understanding of problem-solving methodologies.
