The AP Senior Accountant at Abu Dhabi Ports will be responsible to handle accounts payable activities, accounts payables accrual and month-end reconciliation to ensure timely payment of invoices as per agreed terms and conditions. This is a senior level full time role. The salary for this role ranges from 8000 AED to 20000 AED, which may be slightly negotiatable during the interview.
Duties of AP Senior Accountant
- Process payment vouchers, petty cash and contingent, contracting and employment liabilities.
- Review the reconciling of Accounts at GL level, employee advances and loan accounts.
- Liaise with external and internal auditors to answer any query and meet the auditory requirements.
- Monitor personal and company pension contribution for the UAE national employees.
- Update and maintain documentation of all historical records and expenditures in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP), IFRS and International accounting Standards (IAS).
- Carry out the payment of employees by verifying expense reports and preparing pay checks.
- Follow up and monitor suppliers accounts, invoices, purchase orders, claiming the authorized approval to generate timely and accurate payments to suppliers.
Eligibility Requirements for Role of AP Senior Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in similar role.
