Alarm Station Operator at Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation is required to operate the alarm station functions to ensure a high level of efficiency of the installed physical protection systems. Assist with the implementation of contingency response and communications procedures. Duties Of Alarm Station Operator

  • Operate alarm station functions in compliance with alarm station operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Take appropriate action within specified timeframes in response to security alarms, incidents and events.
  • Assist with the accurate recording of events and actions monitored from the alarm station.
  • Assist with the updating of the alarm station log.

Perform Administrative Functions

  • Interact with personnel performing system operability testing procedures.
  • Assist Supervisors with the implementation of condition report corrective actions.
  • Undertake duties as required by the Supervisor.

Compensatory Measures

  •  Assist with the implementation and monitoring of compensatory measures as and when required.
  • Operate equipment by selecting the correct communication procedures.
  • Transmit and receive messages on installed communication systems.
  • Initiate duress alarms or communication signals in response to duress alarms.

Contingency Events

  • Respond to contingency events as directed by the Head.
  • Coordinate searches in conjunction with patrollers upon discovery of contraband and prohibited items
  • Monitor detection, surveillance and assessment equipment to verify operability.
  •  Identify equipment that is not functioning optimally.

Requirements For Alarm Station Operator

The eligibility requirements for the role of Alarm Station Operator are as under:

  • High School.
  • 2 years in a related field.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience, UAE NATIONAL with IT or Computers Background. Ready to work Barakah.
  • Alarm station operations experience.
  • Police or military diploma preferable.
