Job Purpose of Aerodynamics Engineer

Contribute expertise in aerodynamics to enhance performance & efficiency of aerospace systems, ensuring optimal design and functionality.

Top Technical Requirements for Aerodynamics Engineer?

• Experience in design of aerospace structures such as fuselage, wing and control surfaces.
• Knowledge of structural and aerodynamic considerations involved in the design of aerospace structures.
• Extensive understanding of fundamental principles of flight including lift, drag and stability.
• Understanding of control theory and 6 DOF modelling to assist in stability and performance analysis of UAVs.
• Experience with low fidelity and semi empirical aerodynamic analysis methods and tools.
• Proficiency in software like ANSYS Fluent or SolidWorks Flow Simulation for conducting Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulations.
• Knowledge of propulsion system sizing theory and application including propeller selection or design.
• Experience in CAD packages (Creo or Solidworks preferable).
• Strong mathematical foundation.
• Strong technical communication (written and oral) with technical and non technical personnel.
• Experience with small medium size loitering munition.

Duties of Aerodynamics Engineer

• Ability to manage timelines and project deliverables.
• Ability to manage a team of upto 5 engineers.
• Experience in stakeholder management.
• Willingness to mentor engineers.

Qualification & Experience

• PhD or master’s degree.
• Minimum of 12 years of non academic experience.
