Adjunct Faculty Teaching Ajman University

Ajman University is seeking qualified candidates for Adjunct Faculty Teaching positions in The College of Humanities and Sciences for the Academic Semester Spring 2023 to 2024 . Adjunct faculty positions are temporary, part time positions of employment appointed on a semester basis. The required faculty members will be responsible for teaching in one or more of the following specializations:

• Arabic Language
• English Language
• Islamic Studies
• General Psychology/Critical Thinking
• Sociology / Social work
• Education
• Mathematics / Statistics
• Physics

Duties of Adjunct Faculty Teaching

• Develop and deliver courses to students in specified discipline areas of study.
• Evaluate and monitor individual student progress and provide feedback to sustain student success.
• Actively seek out methods, procedures and resources to best achieve course objectives.
• Perform miscellaneous job related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements of Adjunct Faculty Teaching

• Candidates can be at the level of MA or MS, PhD degree holders depending on the course to be taught.
• Minimum 3 year experience in similar role.
• Experience in teaching and engagement of students are necessary.
• Valid UAE Residency Visa.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
• Ability to work effectively with a multiple diverse community.
• Ability to create, compose and edit written materials.
• Program planning and implementation skills.
• An active research and practice agenda are recommended.
• Advanced use of technology in the education process (delivering classes via presentations, using e learning systems, reports).
• Equivalency of the final certificate from the Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates is a must.
• Knowledge of computerized student information systems.
