Adjunct Faculty Humanities & Sciences Ajman Unversity

Ajman University is seeking qualified candidates for Adjunct Faculty teaching positions in The College of Humanities & Sciences for Academic Semester Spring 2023-2024 (starting January 15, 2024). Adjunct faculty positions are temporary, part time positions of employment appointed on a semester basis. The required faculty members will be responsible for teaching in one or more of the following specializations:

• Arabic language.
• English language.
• Islamic studies.
• General psychology/critical thinking.
• Sociology / social work.
• Education.
• Mathematics / statis.

Responsibilities of Adjunct Faculty Humanities & Sciences

• Develop and deliver courses to students in specified discipline areas of study.
• Evaluate and monitor individual student progress and provide feedback to sustain student success.
• Actively seek out methods, procedures and resources to best achieve course objectives.
• Perform miscellaneous job related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements for Adjunct Faculty Humanities & Sciences

• Candidates can be at the level of MA or MS, PhD degree holders depending on course to be taught.
• Equivalency of the final certificate from the Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates is a must.
• Atleast 3 years of experience in teaching &  engagement of students or similar role.
• Valid UAE Residency Visa.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• An active research and practice agenda are recommended.
• Advanced use of technology in education process (delivering classes via presentations, using e-learning systems, reports).
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
• Ability to work effectively with a multiple diverse community.
• Ability to create, compose and edit written materials.
• Program planning and implementation skills.
• Knowledge of computerized student information systems.
