Adjunct Electrical Lab Engineer UOWD UAE

The School of Engineering, University of Wollongong Dubai is presently seeking qualified and motivated Adjunct Electrical Lab Engineer (specifically for the majors in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering and Autonmous Systems) to join in January 2024. The successful candidate will supervise laboratories and mark associated laboratory scripts in the majors. The candidate is expected to work in accordance with the course curriculum and teaching plans, as well as take attendance and be involved in marking. Experience in using innovative approaches to teaching is also desirable.

Duties of Adjunct Electrical Lab Engineer

• Setup new laboratories in accordance with budget and technical requirements.
• Ensure safe access to labs, appropriate use of equipment, and appropriate scheduling.
• Offer consultation times to students outside of classroom hours.
• Liaise with subject coordinator before, during and at the end of the semester session.
• Complete grading of student work in a timely fashion, using clear rubrics, and with constructive feedback.
• Input the grades into the student interface software (SMP), and complete subject report for the end of semester (training will be provided).
• Manage the acquisition of necessary supplies.

Job Requirements

The requirements for the job role of Adjunct Electrical Lab Engineer are as under:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical engineering /Computer engineering (or a closely related discipline) from a recognized international institute.
• Minimum 2 years experience in similar role.
