Accounting Manager ADNOC UAE

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, ADNOC  presently has a job opening for position of a Accounting Manager in UAE. The job holder will lead the Accounting Function and oversees all accounting and tax accounting activities (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Representative Offices (MEAE Region), ensuring integrity, accuracy and complete compliance to all related jurisdictions and legislations.

Job Duties of Accounting Manager

Leadership and General Management

• Serve as thought leader within the business and partner with senior management contributing to general financial management across the business.
• Liaises with senior finance department personnel (PTE, ADP, ADNOC & Borealis) in deciding on processes and procedures to apply in the department and across the entire business.
• Collaborate with various internal and external parties in the execution of the functions.
• Collaborates with external partners such as accounting firms, auditors, tax consultants and tax authorities in all matters regarding auditing and taxation.

Accounting, Tax and Compliance

• Formulate and lead the implementation of the Accounting Function’s strategy and plans to support the Finance initiatives for Borouge PTE, regulatory requirements and cultural differences across Asia South and the locations of the Representatives Offices.
• Play a leadership role both in the accounting and tax accounting teams to supervise end of period processes and support the analysis of the periodical business performance on a group consolidated basis.
• Accountable for the success and smooth operations of the interim / annual audit process for all the entities within the group.
• Ensuring compliance with Borouge PTE’s internal corporate framework policies and finance manuals.
• Take initiative in ensuring the compliance with tax requirements as well as with accepted accounting principles in Borouge PTE regions.
• Develop and enhance the financial policies and procedures for the accounting department as well as the wider finance function.

People Management

• Responsible for building and developing talent across the accounting department (accounting and tax.
• Play a mentorship role to key accounting personnel, supporting their continuous professional growth and grooming subordinates for future succession planning.
• Effectively plan and organise the operations and workflows of the team to optimize productivity and efficiencies within the processes.
• Anticipates the manpower needs of function and initiates and participates in recruitment of additional staff as required.

Job Requirements For Accounting Manager

The eligibility requirements for the role of Accounting Manager are as under.

Qualification

• University degree in Finance or Accounting, Masters or MBA preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience, headquarter experience preferred.
• Prior experience in a multinational company and Big 4 company is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in a Management role, leading a global or regional accounting department.
• Experience from the chemicals / petrochemicals industry is preferable.
• Fluency in English is required.
