Responsibilities of Accountant
- Manage all aspects of the company’s financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Perform month end and year end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Monitor and review financial data for discrepancies, errors, and irregularities, and take corrective action as needed.
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns, audits, and other regulatory filings.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of financial transactions and activities.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve accounting related issues and inquiries.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision making and strategic planning initiatives.
- Stay up to date with accounting regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Contribute to process improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the finance department.
Requirements of Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- Proven experience of 1-2 years working as an accountant or in a similar role.
Skills and Knowledge Desired
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
