Responsibilities of Accountant
- Manage all aspects of the accounting process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses in accordance with company policies and accounting standards
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to support strategic decision-making
- Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying variances and trends
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax laws, and financial reporting standards
- Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors to support annual audits and reviews
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support financial transactions and reporting
- Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, assisting with training and professional development as needed
- Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations, industry trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for process improvements
Requirements of Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
- Experience of 1-2 years preferred.
Skills and Knowledge Desired
- Proficiency in accounting software and systems, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make recommendations
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling and analysis
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
