Duties of Accountant Finance Department
- Post and Process Journal Entries: Record and process financial transactions to maintain accurate and up to date records.
- Accounts Receivable Management: Update accounts receivable, generate and issue invoices to clients in a timely manner.
- Accounts Payable and Reconciliation: Maintain accounts payable records and perform reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements in compliance with legal and university accounting guidelines.
- Expense Review: Participate in the review of expenses and other financial records as assigned.
- Database Management: Update financial data in databases to ensure accuracy and immediate availability of information.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit weekly/monthly financial reports to management for review.
- Month/Year End Closings: Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly and yearly closings.
- Special Projects: Contribute to other accounting projects as needed.
Job Requirements
The requirements for the role of Accountant Finance Department are as under:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in accounting, with a preference for candidates who have worked in UAE universities.
