EDGE Group is actively hiring qualified and experienced candidate for the job role of an Accountant. The selected candidate will be assigned to work at EPI Company (subsidiary of EDGE Group). Responsibilities of Accountant
- Ensure old payable balances are monitored and justification available.
- Ensure suppliers payment on time in line with the agreed payment terms.
- Follow all controls and assured documents are available before to proceed with the payment.
- Liase with supplier for any documents missing which may delay payments.
- Special consideration to suppliers critical for business.
- Ensure fixed assets are recognized as per IFRS’s guidelines and company’s policy.
- Periodic physical verification.
- Tagging of assets to ensure asset existence and in line with listings in books.
- Proper handling of petty cash and compliance of company’s policy.
- Ensure all required documents are available, get guarantees before making any prepayment, maintain proper records and ensure goods delivered/service rendered as per agreed date.
- Ensure all reconciliations with analysis are available whenever required by management.
- Maintaining accurate financial records.
- Performing audits and resolving discrepancies.
- Keeping business informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting.
- Assist with checks on cost center expenses and compare them against budget.
- Support in monitoring banking activities of the organization.
- Provide expert financial guidance and advice to others within EPI.
- Supporting Accounts team ensuring adequate cash flow to meet the organization’s need.
- Championing the organization values and performance culture at all times to model behaviors to wider team staff.
Eligibility Requirements
The eligibility requirements for role of Accountant are as under:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.
- 5+ years’ as accountant with strong financial and public accounting experience in industry Aerospace, Defense and Oil & Gas experience is desirable.
