DP World presently has a job opening for a highly qualified and experienced Accountant. Responsibilites of Accountant
- Prepare corporate tax returns including monthly submission of corporate tax related report to respective stake holders.
- Manage the month-end closing by preparing adjusting journal entries, reviewing and reconciling balance sheet accounts and deciding on accruals.
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with International Financial reporting standards (IFRS) and reporting financials to the corporate head office.
- Prepare analysis of the financial and non-financial information to reveal insights and support management decision making.
- Assist in the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process to ensure a solid and reasonable budget.
- Review the budget submissions and consolidate the budget pack.
- Monitor and review Capex spending against the budgeted Capex and update Capex progress on regular basis.
- Process supplier and contractor payments and review supplier ageing.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statement and ensure reconciling items are cleared on a timely basis.
- Record advanced booking fee from customers and ensure the collection is properly accounted.
- Coordinate with BUs within DP World ensure timely intercompany reconciliations and invoicing of intercompany transactions.
- Prepare periodic return of VAT by reviewing the return and ensuring proper supporting documents for the VAT returns.
Eligibility Requirements
The eligibility requirements for role of an Accountant are as under:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business-related field.
- Professional accounting qualification CPA, ACCA, CA etc.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Accounting and finance.
Skills Desired
- Excellent knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax and UAE VAT laws and regulations.
- Excellent knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Effective planning and organizational skills to set priorities and coordinate projects to meet deadline.
- Experience in Oracle.
- Holding UAE Driving License.
