Role of an Accountant
The Area Accountant is responsible for monthly close and other basic accounting responsibilities related to reconciliation, AR & AP, VAT, Tax.
Responsibilities of an Accountant
- Assist in monthly close process and ensure proper documentation and filing of support information.
- Assist in calculating and preparing journal entries for local transactions as indicated in the monthly close checklist.
- Assist in review of monthly financial statements and assist in preparation of variance analysis against forecast and prior month.
- Assist in preparation of balance sheet reconciliation.
Your Duties
- Assist in management of audit (internal, external and statutory).
- Assist in operational financial and capital analysis.
- Assist in preparation of inter-company reconciliation.
- Preparation of accounting and administration reports as and when needed.
- Assist with/coordinate special projects as and when needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- University degree business/accounting, preference for professional qualification i.e. ACCA, CPA, CA or CMA.
- 4 or more years experience in Finance or Accounting.
- Multinational business familiarity is essential.
- Oracle & Hyperion experience preferred.
