Job Title

A/C Technician

Responsibilities

  • Patch up fridges, freezers, and ice makers to keep them running smoothly.
  • Tweak air-con units and chillers to dodge any breakdowns.
  • Do regular maintenance checks to catch issues early.
  • Check door seals and latches on walk-in coolers for a tight fit.
  • Make sure defrost systems and ice maker automation are spot-on.
  • Jump on maintenance requests from hotel departments quickly.
  • Clean fan coils and air filters on a fixed schedule.
  • Keep an eye on how air-con and chilled water systems are doing.
  • Work with engineering pals to sort out system hiccups.
  • Keep CFC leaks locked down to follow green rules.
  • Give air-con and refrigeration gear a full overhaul when needed.
  • Check oil and refrigerant levels to avoid big fixes.
  • Team up with the storekeeper to snag parts and keep stock handy.
  • Stick to the UAE’s safety and tech rules without fail.
  • Jot down all maintenance tasks clearly for the hotel’s records.

Requirements

Education

  • A diploma in refrigeration or building services engineering is required.
  • HVAC or technical certs are a sweet bonus.

Experience

1–2 years fixing A/C or refrigeration systems, ideally in hotels.

Skills

  • Ace at sorting out refrigeration and air-con gear.
  • Decent English to chat with the team and report problems.
  • Hands-on knack for tackling technical snags fast.
  • Solid team player, pitching in during busy maintenance days.
