IT Project Manager Al Masaood Abu Dhabi

The Al Masaood Group seeks a strong, progressive and IT Project Manager to support one of the largest businesses within the Group. The role is responsible for overseeing, planning, implementation, and tracking of various IT projects within the organization. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. This role involves capturing business requirements, coordinating with stakeholders, managing resources, and mitigating risks to ensure successful project delivery. This is a Senior level Contract (6 months) job. And salary can range between 15000-30000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of IT Project Manager

  • Project Planning: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that outline the project’s scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop contingency plans to address potential challenges that may arise during project execution.
  • Utilise project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall to tailor the planning approach to the specific needs of the project.
  • Develop Project proposals including cost and benefits.
  • Business Requirements Capturing: Engage with stakeholders from various departments and levels of the organization to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirement gathering sessions to ensure a comprehensive understanding of stakeholder needs.
  • Translate business requirements into clear and actionable specifications, including use cases, user stories, and functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure that business requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions.
  • Project Team Management: Build and lead cross-functional teams comprised of developers, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders, both internal and external to the company.
  • Managing project resources effectively, including personnel, budget, and equipment, to meet project goals within budgetary constraints.
  • Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and expectations for team members to ensure accountability and alignment with project objectives.

  • Project Governance: Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders
  • Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution and minimize disruptions.
  • Facilitating communication among team members, stakeholders, and senior management, providing regular updates on project progress, milestones, and issues.
  • Implementing processes to ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Managing changes to project scope, schedule, and costs, assessing the impact on project objectives and communicating changes to stakeholders.
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and status reports, as well as comprehensive documentation of business requirements gathered throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage the transition of the project into the Run teams
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and best practices adoption to enhance project management effectiveness and efficiency

Requirements for Role of IT Project Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience (5 years) in IT project management, with a successful track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience in the IT industry, preferably with knowledge of software development processes and technologies.

  • Proficiency in risk management, change management, and conflict resolution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering practical solutions to complex challenges.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
