Responsibilities of Technical Sales Engineer

  • Driving sales growth and fostering strong customer relationships.This position combines technical expertise with sales acumen to understand customer needs, recommend solutions, and deliver outstanding service.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company sales targets and objectives.
  • Identify and prospect new customers within target industries, including OEMs, distributors, and end-users.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, serving as their primary point of contact for technical inquiries and support.
  • Conduct technical consultations and product presentations to educate customers on our product offerings, features, and benefits.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and customer service, to address customer needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and deliver competitive quotations, proposals, and bids in response to customer RFQs (Requests for Quotation).
  • Coordinate product demonstrations, trials, and testing to showcase our products’ performance and capabilities.
  • Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer input and market trends to support product improvement and innovation.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project statuses using CRM software.

Requirements of Technical Sales Engineer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Technical background preferred.
  • 2+ proven experience in technical sales, business development, or a related field, preferably within the industrial or manufacturing sector.

Skills and Abilities Desired

  • Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, fluid power, and industrial hose applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated sales aptitude and negotiation skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
