Job Description
As a Field Services Engineer specializing in Electrical Motors and Alternators at Al Masaood, candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, maintenance and repair of electrical motors, generators and alternators used in industrial and commercial applications. Candidate will be instrumental in diagnosing issues, performing on-site repairs and providing exceptional technical support to clients.
Responsibilities of Field Services Engineer
- Field Service and Maintenance:Â Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and lifespan.
- Conduct on-site inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of electrical motors, generators and alternators.
- Diagnostic Expertise: Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify electrical and mechanical issues in motors and alternators.
- Analyze test results, interpret technical drawings and provide recommendations for repair or replacement.
- Technical Support: Offer technical guidance and support to clients, answering questions and providing solutions to motor and alternator-related issues.
- Assist customers in understanding maintenance best practices and optimizing equipment performance.
- Installation and Commissioning: Oversee the installation, commissioning and testing of new electrical motors and alternators.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of service activities, including inspection reports, work orders and equipment specifications.
- Provide accurate and timely service reports to clients and internal teams.
- Parts and Inventory Management: Manage and maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools and equipment needed for field service.
- Coordinate parts procurement and ensure availability for on-site repairs.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards while performing field service activities.
- Promote a culture of safety among team members and clients.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering exceptional service and exceeding client expectations.
- Address client inquiries, concerns and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
- Training and Knowledge Sharing: Stay updated on the latest advancements in motor and alternator technology and industry trends.
- Provide training and knowledge sharing sessions to clients and internal teams as needed.
Requirements for Role of Field Services Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years experience as a Field Service Engineer specializing in electrical motors and alternators.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites.
