Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for a Conference and Events Waiter/Waitress to join team in Zabeel House by Jumeirah, The Greens. The main purpose of the role is to assist the Conference and Events team to support and coordinate, supervise and execute the prompt, efficient and courteous service of food and beverage in the assigned area or station. To be responsible for banqueting, meeting and conference set-ups and services as agreed with the SBUs Standard Operating Procedures.
Responsibilities of Waiter/Waitress
- Review and deliver all guest requirements as identified on Banquet Event Orders.
- Ensure the setup for the event as per the BEO is done and coordinate with the chefs on timings.
- Closing of the bill as per the BEO and obtain guest signature on the bill
- Coordinate with the engineering team for any maintenance work etc prior to the event.
- Attendance to the pre and post meeting with the client is mandatory.
- Ensure that departments performance is in accordance with the department SOP.
- Actively seek guest feedback and ensure that guest needs have been met.
Requirements of Waiter/Waitress
- High School Graduate or Diploma in Hospitality Management.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in life style concept.
- Have worked as a Supervisor in a similar lifestyle banquet operation.
Skills and Knowledge Desired
- Track record in working his / her way up to current position.
- Hands on approach with a can-do attitude.
- Pleasing and out-going personality.
- Good command of English (both written & spoken).
