Job Purpose of A Document Controller
Ensure the accuracy, storage & efficient retrieval of all information and documents for company’s operations.
Job Duties of A Document Controller
- Collaborate with teams across organization to develop an effective document management system.
- Manage retrieval, archiving and destruction of documents.
- Maintain databases and records of documents and information.
- Create filing systems and store documents using company guidelines.
- Manage digital archives and record keeping systems.
- Verify that all documents are organized and filed accurately.
- Follow the corporate record retention policies.
- Monitor the information approval process.
- Train staff on the proper use of document control system.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the Knowledge Management system.
- Evaluate the document control system on regular basis and recommend solutions in case of any issue.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Information Systems or any related field.
- 2-3 years of proven experience in a similar role.
Skills & Knowledge Desired
- Familiarity with computer assisted document management systems.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of document management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook
