Job Description
Hotels/Restaurant is seeking a talented Chef to join their team and lead their kitchen with creativity, innovation, and flair. Responsibilities of Chef
- Lead culinary operations and menu development, creating innovative and high quality dishes that reflect their culinary vision and delight their guests.
- Develop and execute seasonal menus, incorporating fresh, locally sourced ingredients and culinary trends to enhance the dining experience.
- Oversee kitchen staff recruitment, training, and development, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain food quality and consistency, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and cost control, optimizing ingredient usage and minimizing waste to achieve budgetary goals.
- Collaborate with front of house staff to ensure smooth service and efficient communication between kitchen and dining areas.
- Stay informed about culinary trends, techniques, and ingredients, continuously exploring new flavors and culinary concepts to inspire creativity and innovation.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting open communication, mutual respect, and professional growth among kitchen team members.
- Ensure kitchen equipment and facilities are properly maintained, conducting regular inspections and coordinating repairs and maintenance as needed.
Requirements of Chef
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary institute is preferred.
- Proven experience of 2-5 years as a Chef or Sous Chef in a high volume restaurant or hospitality setting, with a strong track record of culinary excellence and leadership.
Skills and Knowledge Desired
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and ingredient sourcing, with a passion for creating memorable dining experiences.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate kitchen staff to deliver exceptional performance.
