Job Description

Hotels/Restaurant is seeking a talented Chef to join their team and lead their kitchen with creativity, innovation, and flair. Responsibilities of Chef

  • Develop and execute seasonal menus, incorporating fresh, locally sourced ingredients and culinary trends to enhance the dining experience.
  • Oversee kitchen staff recruitment, training, and development, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain food quality and consistency, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and cost control, optimizing ingredient usage and minimizing waste to achieve budgetary goals.
  • Collaborate with front of house staff to ensure smooth service and efficient communication between kitchen and dining areas.
  • Stay informed about culinary trends, techniques, and ingredients, continuously exploring new flavors and culinary concepts to inspire creativity and innovation.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting open communication, mutual respect, and professional growth among kitchen team members.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment and facilities are properly maintained, conducting regular inspections and coordinating repairs and maintenance as needed.

Requirements of Chef

  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary institute is preferred.
  • Proven experience of 2-5 years as a Chef or Sous Chef in a high volume restaurant or hospitality setting, with a strong track record of culinary excellence and leadership.

  • Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and ingredient sourcing, with a passion for creating memorable dining experiences.
