Job Description
The merchandise executive at BFL Group would be primarily responsible for product allocation (at country level) as per the defined business rules, monitoring product inflow & inbound. Desirous candidates fulfilling under mentioned criteria are encouraged to submit their applications.
Responsibilities of Merchandise Executive
- Utilize various analytical techniques to examine merchandise sales data, inventory turnover rates and market trends.
- Generate reports and dashboards to communicate key findings to stakeholders. (Data Analysis).
- Develop forecasts for merchandise demand based on historical sales data, seasonality and market trends.
- Collaborate with inventory management teams to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained. (Forecasting and planning).
- Analyze product performance metrics to identify high-performing and underperforming items.
- Make recommendations for adjusting product assortment to maximize sales and profitability. (Assortment Optimization).
- Monitor the pricing strategies of competitors and evaluate their impact on sales performance.
- Conduct pricing analysis to determine optimal pricing strategies for merchandise offerings. (Pricing analysis).
- Assess the effectiveness of promotional campaigns on merchandise sales.
- Analyze promotional data to identify trends and opportunities for optimization. (Promotional effectiveness).
- Work closely with inbound, inventory and HO planning teams to align strategies and objectives.
- Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making across departments. (Cross-functional collaboration).
- Continuous improvement identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy in merchandise analysis and reporting.
Requirements for Role of Merchandise Executive
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, merchandising, marketing, or related field.
- 3+ years of ECOM Merchandising experience in a similar (Fashion/Footwear) industry with a good understanding of product.
Skills And Knowledge Desired
- Knowledge on ECOM Merchandising tools & platforms is an advantage.
- Sound knowledge of MS Excel & moderate knowledge in other MS Office applications.
- Excellent communication skills in English. Written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate and express oneself.
- Should be a Strong Team player with ability to multi-task & work under pressure to meet deadlines with minimum supervision.
- Organizing skills with the ability to prioritize work and exercise independent judgment, wisdom, common sense and initiative.
