Responsibilities of Teacher Assistant

Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities that meet the educational needs of students.
Provide individualized attention and support to students who may require additional assistance with assignments or learning tasks.
Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, recess, and other school related events to ensure their safety and well being.
Assist with classroom management by reinforcing positive behavior, maintaining discipline, and addressing any disruptive behavior or conflicts.
Help prepare instructional materials, displays, and learning aids to support lesson delivery and student engagement.
Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff members to assess student progress, identify learning goals, and develop strategies for academic improvement.
Participate in parent teacher conferences, meetings, and school events to communicate student progress and address parent concerns or questions.
Assist with administrative tasks, record keeping, and documentation related to student attendance, behavior, and academic performance.
Support the lead teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations for students with functional needs or learning disabilities.
Stay informed about educational trends, best practices, and relevant policies and regulations in the field of education.

Requirements of Teacher Assistant

High school diploma or equivalent qualification required; associate or bachelor’s degree in education or related field preferred.
Previous experience of 1-2 years working with children or in an educational setting preferred but not required; we welcome candidates with a passion for working with young learners.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents, and school administrators.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting students with diverse learning needs and backgrounds.
