The School Bus Attendant plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and comfort of students during their daily commute to and from school. The ideal candidate will be attentive, compassionate, and committed to providing a positive experience for all passengers.

Responsibilities of School Bus Attendant

• Assist students in boarding and disembarking from the school bus safely, ensuring adherence to established procedures and safety protocols.
• Help students find their seats and ensure that seat belts are fastened properly.
• Monitor student behavior during transit, promoting a safe and respectful environment at all times.
• Address any issues or conflicts among students promptly and effectively, seeking assistance from the bus driver or school authorities as needed.
• Communicate with parents/guardians and school staff regarding student behavior, concerns, or special instructions.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness on the bus, including picking up trash and reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies governing student transportation.
• Participate in training sessions and meetings to stay updated on safety procedures, emergency protocols, and other relevant topics.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Transportation Supervisor or school administration.

Requirements of School Bus Attendant

• High school diploma.
• Physical stamina and the ability to assist students with mobility challenges.
• Less than 1 year of experience in similar role.
