Job Description

Electrical industry in Dubai is currently seeking a reliable and detail oriented Storekeeper to join their team. The Storekeeper will be responsible for managing inventory, organizing storage areas, receiving and dispatching goods, and maintaining accurate records of all stock transactions. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities of Retail Storekeeper

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders or invoices.
  • Organize and maintain inventory storage areas to ensure efficient utilization of space.
  • Label and tag inventory items accurately for easy identification and retrieval.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and records.
  • Prepare and package items for dispatch, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to arrange timely deliveries and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the store area, adhering to safety and sanitation standards.
  • Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and other relevant metrics as needed.
  • Assist in other warehouse related tasks and projects as assigned by management.

Requirements of Retail Storekeeper

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in similar role.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

  • Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of safety and security procedures in a warehouse environment.
