The Beauty Category Manager at BFL Group in TechnoPark, Dubai, UAE contributes by being a dynamic and pro-active “Category Head” to lead the Beauty Category in the markets BFL Group operates in, spearheading the growth and management of the category to make it a key contributor to the top line and bottom-line for the overall business. This is a Senior level full time job. And salary can range between 15000-25000 AED/month.
Responsibilities of Category Manager
- Plan and design the Luxury category with focus on sub categorization and range planning.
- Define the strategy to be implemented and the structure of the category.
- Category development, strategic decision making and planning.
- Co-ordinate with the Regional Retail Manager to ensure that their stores are operationally structured and organized as per their rules, regulations and standards.
- Develop the business plan, budget and manpower plan in stores for the Luxury category across the markets.
- Develop & implement sales strategy in co-ordination with the retail team.
- Management of supplier networks, driving merchandising and sales strategies and providing leadership/direction in each of the countries.
- Work with local and international Luxury distributors to ensure they stheirce the right products at the right prices
- Enhance the customers’ experience in stores while navigating through the Beauty section.
- Work with the production team and lead them to what must produce as private labels and monitor its sell through along other KPIs.
Requirements for Role of Category Manager
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years plus of experience in purchasing, and project management; of which 2-3 as a Category Manager in Beauty.

- Strong understanding of the retail industry in general and the Luxury category in specific

- Self-starter, accountable and results oriented; takes initiative, is able to commit to and meet established deadlines and objectives, is able to work independently as well as a team player
- Fast learner, agile, keen, and capable of handling new and changing assignments, strong organizational skills are a must
- Analytical and curious; ability to understand and interpret business contexts and complex/new scenarios/topics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills: able to present to and interact with managerial level and larger audiences, resolve/anticipate conflict, train and coach people.
