Procter & Gamble (P&G) is currently looking to hire a candidate for the job role of a Data Engineer in X346+RXG, Jebel Ali Freezone, Dubai, UAE. This is an Intermediate level full time job. And salary can range between 10000-20000 AED/month.
Responsibilities of Data Engineer
- Develop business cases within Data & Analytics.
- Build data & analytics solutions in Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud or AWS craft technical solutions from approved architecture to acquire, process, store and provide insights based on the processed data.
- Develop within existing designs of various solutions in Microsoft Azure environment to help the business get valuable insights.
- Work on agile products using cloud solutions.
- Automation: leverage technology for automated data fetching, processing, aggregation & syndication leading to real time information flows and democratization of data access
- Lead IT projects in the market liaising with internal teams, external partners and strategic vendors ensuring fit-for-use solutions and high usage adoption.
- Manage IT operational excellence across solutions and systems (ERP, SFA, Reporting solutions etc.)
- Lead the thinking and own trainings to IT and to other functions, including documentation of best practices.
Requirements for Role of Data Engineer
- Undergraduate/Master level qualifications in Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) domains
- Proven experience in Python and SQL programming skills
- Experience in Big Data/ETL (Spark and Databricks preferred)
- Experience in implementing projects & solutions in cloud (Azure/GCP preferred, AWS)
- Knowledge and/or experience with using or building CI/CD tools.
- Previous experience or understanding of Data Models.
- Experience in leading and managing projects (Knowledge of Agile SCRUM and DevOps methodologies preferred)
- Up to 3 years of demonstrated experience in the above fields is preferred.
Skills And Knowledge Desired
- Able to access and manipulate data (KNIME, DAX and Power BI front end)
- Understanding of IT Service Operations Management. (ITIL v4 is preferred)
- Knowledge of Privacy and Information security.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to partner and work within diverse organizations and teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, and demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and manage complexity to drive transformation.
- Ability to develop in-depth business, domain, and systems knowledge for building relevant. solutions and services to show how technology can create business value. (incremental sales & productivity gain, time to market)
- Work with data as a strategic choice for the business to identify use cases to build the business and fill gaps in data, processes, and systems to realize the value.
- Champion stewardship on Information security and Privacy.
