Jumeirah Beach Hotel presently has a job opening for eligible candidate for the position of a Coffee Man (Front Office) in Dubai, UAE. Job Purpose of A Coffee Man
The job purpose of a Coffee Man is to expertly prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages to customers in a cafe or coffee shop.
Duties of A Coffee Man
- Offer all arriving guests to Jumeirah Beach Hotel such as cold towels, dates, water/juice and Arabic coffee.
- Provide history of dates, coffee and UAE/Dubai culture to guests.
- Scent the lobby with bakhoor every 3 hours (traditional incense in bakhoor stand).
- Initiate conversation with Guests at the Lobby whilst they wait.
- Prepare cold / hot towels, juices and Arabic coffee in the morning and ensure it’s enough throughout the day.
- Clear used cups and cold towels and place in storage.
- Count and drop towels to the laundry.
- Prepare Arabic coffee from kitchen, following standards.
- Constantly provide an approachable, helpful and friendly service to colleagues and guests alike in the lobby and arrival lounge.
- Use guest’s name at appropriate times during a conversation.
- To be aware about UAE customs, history and culture.
- Perform any related duties assigned by management.
- To comply with the hotel’s health, safety and hygiene policy and maintain high grooming standards.
Who Can Apply?
Qualification
- High School Diploma.
Experience
- 1 year of guest service experience in a 5-star hotel.
Skills & Knowledge Desired
- Proficiency in Front Office applications.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English.
- Local area knowledge.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
