Job Description
Procurement Officer will work to implement all tasks related to the procurement unit, including requesting quotations, preparing and issuing purchase orders and participating in evaluation of suppliers about the service provided regarding various types and categories of services and purchases in accordance with laws, regulations, approved policies and the directives of strategic department in this regard.
Responsibilities Of Procurement Officer
- Adding suppliers and amending their data to the list of suppliers in the government resource planning system in coordination with the Dubai Smart Government Establishment.
- Following up on the provision of relevant data, and in coordination with the various concerned parties in this regard.
- Receiving purchase orders and requesting quotations from suppliers according to the specifications by the requesting party.Â
- Preparing and issuing purchase orders after the beneficiary party approves the supplier selection form and reviewing purchase requests in coordination with the Accounts and Reports Department to approve the budget for the beneficiary party before completing the purchase operations in their final form and in accordance with the procedures approved by the center.
- Full coordination with the beneficiary party regarding completing the procedures for evaluating and selecting suppliers.
- Informing these parties of the terms and prices after the end of the negotiation process.
- Participate in the processes of evaluating suppliers and negotiating with them, through procurement team.
- Ensure that the beneficiaries choose the suppliers who provide the best prices according to specifications.Â
- Continuously work to update the list of suppliers and participate in their performance evaluation processes to allow for contracting with new suppliers to obtain the best specifications and prices.
- Preparing periodic reports related to purchases.

- Follow up the periodic reports on a monthly basis and submitting them to the head of the unit for review.
- Submitting reports to the head of the department for approval in accordance with the procedures followed in this regard.
- Requirements contribute to updating and developing models, manuals and work procedures related to the field of functional specialization in accordance with best practices.
- Submitting periodic reports or upon request on the progress of work, indicating the obstacles and challenges faced in the implementation processes and methods for addressing them.
- Submit proposals to develop work procedures.
- Any other tasks or duties related to the nature of the work as assigned.
Requirements of Procurement OfficerÂ
- Basic: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting /financial or administrative sciences or any related disciplines.
- No experience required for those holding a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.Â
- Additional: Specialized professional certificates in the field of job specialization.Â
